Ephesoft launches Context Driven Productivity, a new discipline to turn flat data into context-rich information


Ephesoft, a leader in content acquisition and data enrichment solutions, today unveiled Context Driven Productivity (CDP), a discipline designed to cultivate the contextual data needed to optimise process automation initiatives. CDP addresses the challenges of creating contextual data to maximise artificial intelligence-driven decision-making in automation. The new product version, Ephesoft Transact 2020.1, supports companies in acquiring the data they need to begin this process, and now also brings the acceleration of Cloud HyperExtender and flexibility of mobile uploading to the EMEA market.

Context Driven Productivity (CDP)

Ephesoft’s CDP approach leverages both internal and external data sources to provide a complete picture of a process. Ephesoft defines flat data as data that is stored in legacy silos like PDFs, emails, spreadsheets and even relational databases. By connecting and enriching organisational data with context from multiple data sources, customers can gain end-to-end process visibility and quantifiable, data-driven results that boost organisational efficiency and ultimately customer and employee satisfaction. This contextual data is the outcome of new breakthroughs in semantic data extraction and knowledge graph technologies.


Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender

The Ephesoft Cloud HyperExtender is an integrated hybrid cloud solution that enhances the performance of Ephesoft Transact – both on-premises and cloud-based. This add-on is the industry’s first hybrid solution that easily moves the most resource-intensive processes to the cloud for peak performance, scalability and minimal up-front investment. Image processing as well as Optical Character Recognition (OCR) are performed in the cloud and are up to ten times faster than before. As a result, companies gain scalability and flexible capacity to keep pace with changing market requirements – both with fluctuating and consistently high processing requirements.


Mobile Application

Ephesoft Mobile provides an easy and reliable way to capture and upload content to Ephesoft Transact from any mobile device; accelerating workflows and business processes. The solution uses the camera of the respective device to capture photographs of documents for data extraction and processing. The improved user interface, live edge detection, cropping options and filters optimise the input quality and allow customers to increase productivity in real-time on the move.


Further Innovations

In addition, Ephesoft Transact 2020.1 offers a text magnification mode, a container option for VM environments and the ability to import global document types predefined by the administrator for a larger batch of documents. Additional API web services provide advanced functionality within batch classes and document types. Now, IT administrators can now remotely deploy installations and upgrades to end-user workstations, eliminating the need for manual access. As part of the international expansion, SimplifiedChinese, Traditional Chinese and Thai languages are also currently in the beta phase.
