Microlise, a leading supplier of innovative transport technology, has today announced a new partnership with Streamax, who has been appointed as the provider of its next-generation AI-powered distraction camera and wider camera technology for commercial vehicles.

Designed to tackle one of the biggest causes of road incidents, the new camera system combines AI-driven distraction and fatigue detection with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to help operators reduce risk. With 80% of road incidents involving distraction and fatigue remaining a significant contributor to collisions, the solution focuses on prevention rather than reaction.

The inward-facing camera uses artificial intelligence to detect high-risk distracted behaviours to alert drivers in real-time and support safer driving habits. Simultaneously, ADAS technology monitors the road ahead, warning drivers of potential hazards.

In addition to the AI-powered distraction cameras, Microlise will embed Streamax technology as a core component of its multi-camera system, delivering a truly seamless, fully integrated and elevated camera experience for operators. Microlise’s multi-camera solution is built to give fleet operators a complete view of their vehicles and drivers, combining forward-facing, blind-spot, driver monitoring and other camera options with the ability to download footage quickly and easily.

By integrating Streamax hardware and intelligence into this system, customers benefit from a consistent, adaptable platform that links high-quality video with telematics data across the Microlise ecosystem. This enables operators to enhance safety, reduce risk and lower insurance costs by proactively managing driver behaviour, establishing liability quickly and supporting compliance with industry standards, all from one platform.

With drivers found to be solely at fault in only around 25% of collisions, the system also helps provide context and evidence to support drivers following incidents.

Speaking on the new partnership, Nadeem Raza, Microlise’s CEO, said: “At Microlise, our goal is to use technology to help ensure everyone gets home safely at the end of their working day.

“Our partnership with Streamax allows us to deliver a powerful, intelligent solution that addresses real-world driver safety challenges.”

Bill Wang, CEO at Streamax, added: “Streamax thrives on working hand in hand with our customers, placing their success at the heart of our value. Partnering with Microlise allows us to turn AI-driven insights into tangible road safety outcomes, ensuring every journey is safer and more efficient for the world’s most demanding transport operations.”
