As part of a commitment to helping its partners to succeed, Hull-based wholesale full fibre network operator, MS3 Networks, is launching a first-of-its-kind direct sales service. With it, internet service providers (ISPs) that are partners on MS3’s network will be able to take advantage of dedicated field sales and telesales agents managed by MS3 on a reward-based model in order to grow their customer base.
MS3’s partners have achieved great success selling connections up to 2.5Gb on its full fibre network in Hull, Scunthorpe and Grimsby. But now, an additional layer of sales support is available to further increase customer take up. Partner Plus Direct sales is optional add-on for any ISPs that recognise the benefits of field sales — including door-knocking, event attendance and pop-up stands — but may not have the scale, capability or management availability to succeed in an area that can be challenging if not executed effectively.
Partners only incur a cost when a sale turns into a connected customer and they have the option to pay for this as either an upfront, per sale fee, or as an uplift in the competitive monthly rental charge for that home.
As part of the support package, dedicated MS3 sales experts will spend time with each partner to understand their short and long-term sales goals. The team will take a blended approach to lead generation and sales assistance, encompassing field, tele and event sales to generate orders for partners. It will also ensure all orders are verified in line with the individual partner’s purchasing process.
“Partner Plus is a sales support package that takes our channel support to the next level,” said Jaak Cheshire, Commercial Director at MS3 Networks. “For us, enabling the success of our partners isn’t only about delivering a quality fibre network. MS3’s partner programme starts on day one of an ISP joining our network, and we already offer financial, sales and marketing support. We’re now taking that support up a notch, in a way we’ve not seen other wholesale networks do before.”
Direct sales will become part of an already-extensive support package and being wholesale-only, MS3 is wholly dedicated to supporting the channel and exclusively provides FTTP services via this route to market.
Currently, MS3’s in-house marketing team helps ISPs promote their services with consultation on strategy, market research insights and the creation of marketing collateral. In addition, in 2023, MS3 launched an industry-first, price comparison tool that allows end customers to not just choose the partner they want to buy from, but also the package, speed and price. Unlike other competitor’s sites, consumers do not need to flick between multiple ISPs’ websites but can see all compared in one location, directly via MS3.
“We’re continuously developing the ways in which we support our partners,” continued Cheshire. “When our partners succeed, so does MS3, and we want to help them meet their goals however we can. Our pilot scheme for this new service has proved very successful, already generating hundreds of orders for those that took part. Moving forwards, we hope to replicate these results across our partner network to make a real difference to each ISP that joins us.”
