Cloud2 launches NEW solutions and services built on Power BI805 Views
Cloud2, a Yorkshire-based Microsoft partner providing digital transformation solutions, has today announced the launch of its new analytics solutions built on Power BI.
Power BI is Microsoft’s cloud-based business intelligence technology which allows you to see your organisation’s data in new self-serve and interactive ways.
Says Taran Sohal, Cloud2 Director: “Business intelligence reporting can present multiple challenges, such as end users looking for better visibility of issues to take action quickly, whilst BI teams are typically overloaded with requests and report development is a manual, time consuming process. But real change that improves services and performance doesn’t have to take years or come with a huge price tag”.
Cloud2 have been demonstrating this at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. Until recently, the Trust’s departmental reporting was so behind the times that service managers might’ve only got a snapshot of what was happening in theatre or outpatients once a month – in a report that was out of date within the hour. Overhauling this approach using traditional means would take months.
But recently moving the Trust to real-time analytics with Power BI has allowed the Trust to monitor what’s going on everywhere from A&E to outpatients much more closely.
“In little more than six months, equipping frontline staff with this information and structuring clinical time more responsively around demand has enabled us to cut outpatient waiting lists by up to 65% in some areas. And because outpatient flow has improved so dramatically, we’ve also see a drop in the number of DNAs per month” says James Rawlinson, director of Health Informatics.
Cloud2’s new solutions built on Power BI include:
Power BI Kick-starter packages: provide a rapid accelerator for progressing with Power BI on your data with a limited budget.Accelerators: NHS specific Power BI accelerators for acute trusts. These are built on and include a series of Power BI report templates.
Templates: Power BI templates to help you get the best out of Power BI which are based on global best practice and help reduce time spent on data-set development and report design and layout by up to 75%.
Adds Sarah Croxford, Senior Enterprise Channel Manager, Microsoft: “Cloud2’s templates and kick-starter offerings allow you to very rapidly put Power BI into action; they reduce the time spent on creating reports and will help you gain business insights to drive the actions required in days. Customers will get a working and fully configured solution allowing them to concentrate on delivering valuable insights and results”.
