Implico, the leading provider of SAP software solutions for the digitalization of business processes in the downstream segment and SAP solution extension (SolEx) partner for the supply chain of liquid energy sources, is pleased to welcome experts from the field of SAP to its advisory board. The advisory board will actively assist Implico’s management team with the company’s ongoing evolution into an independent software vendor (ISV) and growth platform for industry-specific SAP software solutions.

Uwe Bohnhorst, Nils Herzberg and Peter Wimmer have joined the board. Uwe Bohnhorst spent many years as a member of the Global Executive Team at itelligence AG, now NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, one of the world’s largest SAP partners. Nils Herzberg has more than 35 years of management experience at international level, of which five years were spent in strategic consulting and 25 years at SAP Germany and SAP USA – with further expertise acquired in the SAP partner ecosystem. Peter Wimmer brings over 25 years’ experience as a strategic consultant and advisor in software and IT services to his role, having assisted various technology companies with buyouts and profitable growth trajectories. The advisory board will play an active role in supporting both Implico’s management team and the Egeria investor team headed by Sven Schulze and Gregor Schmidt.

“I am delighted that we have been able to put together an advisory team featuring very high-caliber experts who will help us to further consolidate Implico’s position in the world of SAP,” states Rolf Adam, CEO of Implico. “The experience, expertise and strategic approaches of our advisory board members will allow us to further cement our USP as an SAP SolEx partner. More than anything, they will lend a guiding hand as we take our many years of expertise in handling liquid goods through modular software solutions and scale it to an international level across various sectors.”

Implico’s efforts have focused historically on the energy industry. As a SolEx partner and in accordance with the “RISE with SAP” journey, the software firm helps businesses make the switch to S/4HANA and paves the way for this industry solution – developed initially for oil and gas – to be deployed for the distribution and retailing of liquid energy sources. Implico aims to bring its expertise in automating supply chains to bear on new sectors, focusing on the distribution of bulk goods from warehouse to end customer.

With its clear positioning as an independent software vendor for SAP, Implico will now work with more implementation partners. As well as providing insight-driven quality support, Implico will make a partner training system available to these enterprises.

“We look forward to working with the management team at Implico. All members of the advisory board are inspired by the company’s strong positioning as a SolEx partner and the evident potential of Implico and its team. We will dedicate ourselves to leveraging this potential and helping Implico to establish itself as a strong market player in other sectors,” states Uwe Bohnhorst.
