Leading healthcare informatics provider Epro will continue to partner with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, following the success of its existing work with integration and interoperability with existing systems. The Epro technology supports end-to-end outpatient management, inpatient flow, clinical correspondence, speech recognition, mobile access and integration with existing technology solutions.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust provides care for the residents of three of the most diverse London boroughs. The Trust places high priority on integration: interoperability and user friendly systems are of paramount importance. The Trust needs to ensure that their teams are not duplicating systems or workflows, and is in the midst of developing a roadmap with key partners, of which Epro is a strong part.

“We are incredibly excited to be a part of Barking, Havering, and Redbridge Trust’s digital transformation journey. When we first set out, the aim was to support the digitisation of clinical workflows through integrating with existing systems in order to improve efficiency and communication,” says Jonathan Elliott, Managing Director of Epro. “Now, as we build upon what we’ve already achieved, we’re excited to be implementing our advanced digital dictation and speech recognition solutions, which will enable better workflows, more structured clinic letters, and a reduction of the existing typing backlog.”

Steve Twum, Head of Clinical IT Systems at Barking, Havering & Redbridge Trust, commented: “Epro is an excellent partner to work with: the team provides a high standard of clinician-focused systems and solutions, and we could not think of a better, more aligned partner to be on this journey with.

“As we build upon our existing relationship, we can truly see the opportunities for increased clinical efficiencies that Epro can help us unlock. In the future, we’d be keen to branch out with Epro and collaborate with the potential of mobile or even HR monitoring.”
