Launching today at NHS Confed Expo, clinical informatics solutions provider, Epro is proud to present the latest version of its unified digital health platform, Epro23, coincident with the first go-live at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital (LHCH).
Epro23 builds on the company’s 15+ years of providing clinical information systems to a number of NHS Trusts, with over 64,000 users and 22 million patient records in its care. The next generation platform expands upon Epro’s existing functionality, incorporating integrated referrals, task management, notifications and speech recognition – all in a responsive and intuitive interface designed to natively support touch and mobile use.
Epro23 has been designed to be a Cloud-first platform, incorporating high levels of security and an ability to scale to meet the evolving needs of healthcare clients whilst delivering efficiency to IT and infrastructure teams. The Epro23 speech solution utilises market-leading, AI-enhanced speech algorithms with UK medical terminology and our own custom language model functionality, that includes over 750,000 words, to deliver very high levels of accuracy to users from the outset.
“Enabling clinical productivity sits at the heart of our DNA,” says Jonathan Elliott, Managing Director, Epro. “From our clinically-led and specialty-focused design, to a product that is developed by clinicians, for clinicians to enable joined-up care through interoperability – and a people-centric approach that delivers results quickly and with minimal change management – Epro is all about supporting clinicians in delivering the best patient care possible.
“We are therefore delighted to be able to launch Epro23 today, with its new functionality designed specifically for UK trusts looking to optimise existing IT investments while seamlessly navigating new care pathways across acute, mental health and community care settings.”
Vishal Luther, Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist and Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital (LCHC), adds: “I am so excited that as of 5th June 2023, LHCH is now Live using Epro23 across the trust.
“A small group of colleagues and I piloted the platform in advance of the full launch, and have found Epro to provide improved structure to our clinic and clinic letters. It has facilitated greater efficiency for our admin staff. I was impressed at how seamlessly the platform integrated into our current workflows and electronic patient record pathways. I particularly look forward to realising how the speech recognition functionality may improve our workflows even further.”
