Hexnode, the enterprise software division of Mitsogo, today announced the debut of Hexnode Context Layer, an intelligence layer that powers Agentic AI for endpoint management through Hexnode Genie AI, the company’s conversational interface for IT admins.

Drawing on live context from Hexnode’s Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform, Hexnode Context Layer helps Genie AI translate natural-language requests into relevant endpoint workflows through a single conversational experience. This reduces the need for IT admins to navigate separate areas of the UEM console.

How the Hexnode Context Layer works with Genie AI

Hexnode Context Layer serves as the orchestration and governance layer between Hexnode Genie AI and Hexnode UEM. When an administrator submits a natural-language request, Genie AI interprets the intent and passes it to the Context Layer, which automatically routes the request to the appropriate specialized agent within Hexnode UEM, eliminating the need for administrators to select one manually.

Using live fleet context from Hexnode UEM, Hexnode context layer coordinates end-to-end device management workflows spanning policy creation, app deployment, device actions and status tracking, while keeping consequential actions subject to administrator approval.

Specialized agents for core UEM workflows

The Hexnode Context Layer draws on a set of specialized agents, each mapped to a category of UEM workflow:

  • Device Management for fleet discovery, configuration, telemetry, remote commands and lifecycle actions.
  • User and Group Management for identity lifecycle, group enrollment and directory hierarchies.
  • Policy and Configuration for drafting, validation, matching and deviation tracking.
  • Application Management for store discovery, software repositories, catalogs and portal profiles.
  • Operational Reporting for data usage metrics and fleet allocation performance.

Together, these specialized agents enable Genie to reason across different areas of endpoint management, reducing the need for administrators to navigate multiple workflows.

“IT admins today sit at the intersection of every incident, every access decision and every compliance check, and the tools they use have not kept up. Hexnode’s focus is on bringing these areas onto one intelligent platform, so admins can spend their time acting on the fleet, not navigating between systems built to manage it,” said Apu Pavithran, CEO and Founder of Hexnode.

What’s next for Hexnode Context Layer

Hexnode Context Layer represents the next step in Hexnode’s development of autonomous endpoint management. Over time, Hexnode also intends to extend this architecture across Hexnode XDR and Hexnode IdP, supporting more coordinated workflows across endpoint management, identity and security while maintaining enterprise-grade administrative controls.
