BIXOLON Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of BIXOLON, the global manufacturer of advanced receipt, label, and mobile printers, announces it has provided Isitec International an integrated label printing solution that delivers fast, reliable and consistent label printing across its customers’ logistics environments. Founded in 2002 in Lyon, France, Isitec International specialises in providing logistics automation and intralogistics solutions. 

The printing solution was implemented and deployed by the integration partner, EUTRONIX. It consists of BIXOLON XD5-40dK Direct Thermal Label Printers, BarTender Seagull™ Drivers (which provides stable Windows compatibility for customers) and a sophisticated integration into Isitec International’s proprietary traceability software, Isitrac®. Together, this has strengthened ISITEC International’s overall offering, enabling the company to deliver a more complete and cohesive solution to its customers managing critical mail and logistics operations.

Label printing sits at the heart of logistics workflows. Isitec International needed to guarantee fast, reliable and fully integrated printing within its Isitrac® traceability software package. As any disruption to printing would have an immediate impact on customers’ daily operations. 

This need is intensified by the diversity of client environments. This includes varying workstations, servers and network infrastructures, with hardware and software which required to be closely coordinated. To combat this, Isitec International required a standardised printing solution that could be seamlessly integrated with its Isitrac® software. 

In identifying a solution, the aim was to use reliable equipment that was simple to deploy, yet easy to maintain at scale, while being capable of operating across local and networked environments. Ensuring driver stability within Windows-based systems was key.

Immediate operational readiness for customers

To address these requirements, Isitec International partnered with the IT consulting company EUTRONIX and with BIXOLON to implement a standardised label printing solution. 

The deployment centres around BIXOLON’s XD5-40dK direct thermal printers, combined with BarTender’s Seagull™ drivers, to enable stable and efficient performance across diverse IT environments. When fully integrated with the Isitrac® software, the solution allows labels to be automatically generated and printed at the point of parcel registration, without the need for any intermediary applications. The solution is designed for simplicity where the integration process involves straightforward driver installation and configuration, which allows rapid deployment and immediate operational readiness across customer sites.

Implementing BIXOLON’s printing solution has delivered fast, reliable and consistent label printing, working in conjunction with Isitec International’s Isitrac® software. By standardising hardware on Isitec International’s proven software platform, the company has significantly reduced issues related to compatibility and print stability, while simplifying deployment and ongoing support. With over a hundred printers deployed to date, the solution ensures smooth and secure logistics workflows. This directly enhances operational efficiency for end users.
