Jungheinrich UK, leader in intralogistics, offers the industry’s widest range of intralogistics solutions, material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering, announces that it is taking part in the ‘Tour D’Alliance’ as it’s 2021 charity event of the year, running from 10 June to 13 June 2021.
Tour D’Alliance is a charity cycle event created by Alliance Healthcare, raising funds for Vitamin Angels UK – a charity cause committed to supporting children’s nutritional needs as, sadly, malnutrition is still the number one cause of preventable death. 100% of funds raised from the event will go to Vitamin Angels UK to support its essential work in improving children’s nutrition in the UK and around the world.
Through Alliance Healthcares’ partnership with Vitamin Angels UK, they have helped impact the lives of over 315,000 women and children. 1 out of 4 children in the UK are living in poverty and are at-risk of food insecurity. The event will see a large number of participants including David Clarkson, Account Management Director at Jungheinrich who will cover the Scottish Leg of the ride covering over 500km cycling from Coatbridge Service Centre in Coatbridge to South Normanton Service Centre in South Normanton over the course of five days.
David states, “We are thrilled to be a part of a brilliant and fun yet extremely tough event to raise funds for childhood malnutrition. Vitamin Angels’ excellent work is helping to reduce food insecurity, blindness, and potentially other harmful illnesses. Together we are looking forward to raising as much awareness of the event as possible as well as funds to help a fantastic cause.”
