Mentorship, Sponsorship & Allyship Helping Women Progress In The Technology Industry

Women in Tech Week is a valuable opportunity to celebrate the women shaping our industry, but also to recognise the people and actions that help make their progress possible.

Breaking barriers isn’t only about opening the door. It’s about making sure people have the confidence, support and opportunities to walk through it. Mentors and coaches can provide perspective and reassurance, but sponsorship and allyship can create access to the rooms, projects and conversations where careers progress.

Some of the most meaningful support happens in everyday moments: championing someone’s idea, making sure their voice is heard, encouraging them to step forward before they feel completely ready, or simply reminding them that they have earned their place at the table.

I’ve been fortunate to experience that support throughout my career, and I believe strongly in paying it forward.

When we share experience, create opportunities and advocate for one another, we don’t just support individual careers; we help create a more inclusive future for technology.
