PTV presents three innovative software novelties

The PTV Group, world market leader for mobility planning software, will open this year’s IT-TRANS with an exclusive pre-event at PTV’s headquarters in Karlsruhe on March 2, 2020. This year’s exhibition highlights at the PTV booth #B1 in hall 1 include three new developments in the field of augmented reality, sharing results and urban mobility data.

 

IT-TRANS Pre-Event 2020

Together with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and the Messe Karlsruhe, the PTV Group is inviting participants to start the conference and trade show week at PTV’s headquarters on March 2 at 6:00 PM. For the third time in a row, the exhibition and conference participants are meeting on this informal platform for networking and professional exchange. Speeches by Mohamed Mezdhani, Secretary General of the UITP, Britta Wirtz, CEO Messe Karlsruhe, and Christian U. Haas, CEO of the PTV Group, will start the evening off right. Guests will then enjoy a presentation about the so-called “Oslo study” from Endre Angelvik, Vice President Mobility Services of the public transport agency Ruter As, and Paul Speirs, Head of Global PreSales at the PTV Group. The study examined the possible impact of autonomous driving and sharing offerings in the Norwegian capital.

PTV at IT-TRANS 2020

At IT-TRANS 2020 in Karlsruhe, the PTV Group will offer visitors a comprehensive overview of the PTV software portfolio for transportation planning and modeling. The focus will be on the company’s solutions for the rail and public transport sectors. PTV Visum is the world’s leading software for demand-based and service-oriented public transport network and service planning. As a comprehensive tool, the software offers detailed planning and analysis functions as well as easy-to-understand displays that can address all strategic processes for public transport planning.

With the motto “Optimize your Operations” and “Shape Mobility”, from March 3 – 5, 2020, PTV will demonstrate to visitors in hall 1, booth B1, how they can perfect their public transport offerings most intelligently. The company is looking forward to welcoming visitors in a larger trade show booth this year; in addition to numerous workstations, it will also feature many opportunities to talk to the software’s experts.

For the first time at the trade show, the PTV Group will be presenting three new cloud-based tools for the presentation and analysis of data of various mobility-related use cases, which will simplify widespread access for transportation experts, city planners, and decision-makers. Among other things, visitors will be able to experience mobility in augmented reality with VissimAR.
