National Courier Speedy Freight, has today announced a partnership with the ADAM Foundation by donating £1 for every Speedy Freight booking made by a Liverpool based business from now until the end of the year, a minimum of £250 a month from July to December 2020. The partnership is to help support the cause of ending knife crime across the city.
The ADAM Foundation aims to help educate young people across Liverpool on the dangers of knives and knife crime and bring justice to its victims. According to the ONS, there were 46,265 knife-related offences in the last 12 months to the end of March this year – up 6% from last year as knife crime reaches a record high in the UK.
Three Speedy Freight vehicles have also been branded with the campaign logo to help raise awareness of the foundation. The foundation was set up in memory of Adam Ellison, who was taken from his family and girlfriend after being fatally stabbed in 2017.
John Powell, General Manager at Speedy Freight Liverpool said, “Local causes such as the ADAM Foundation are incredibly important to our colleagues. We’re eager to be able to support such a significant campaign to help end knife crime across UK cities and bring justice to victim’s families. With every Speedy Freight booking made by a Liverpool business, we’ll be pledging £1 to the foundation, #KnivesDestroyLives”
