Tributech, the London-headquartered deep-tech company providing data integrity and zero-trust middleware for OT and IoT environments, today announced a collaboration with IBM Consulting, which includes implementing Tributech’s platform.

The collaboration brings together Tributech’s product and domain expertise with IBM Consulting’s global reach, industry expertise, and delivery capabilities across energy, utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, and transport.

Industrial organisations are connecting their OT and IoT environments and deploying AI on top of operational data at unprecedented pace: analytics and machine learning today, and increasingly AI agents that issue commands back to industrial equipment for configuration changes, over-the-air updates and setpoint adjustments. Yet most operators cannot prove that the data feeding those models, or the commands coming back, are authentic and untampered. With the EU AI Act applying from August 2026, the EU Cyber Resilience Act imposing obligations on manufacturers from December 2027, and NIS2 and IEeC 62443 raising the bar for operators, demonstrating the trustworthiness of data flowing between assets, systems and AI models has become a board-level requirement.

Tributech addresses this with patented cryptographic Data Notarization: tamper-evident, independently verifiable proof of data authenticity from source to consumption. It sits alongside patented Secure Remote Commands, scoped to configuration changes, over-the-air updates and setpoint adjustments, and a Digital Twin Knowledge Graph. The platform integrates into existing industrial environments via OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, ADS and REST, and deploys as middleware or at the edge via a Docker-based client or an embeddable C-SDK.

Together, Tributech and IBM will address the operational data trust challenges facing industrial organisations, including:

  • Trusted industrial AI: verifiable, tamper-evident data foundations for AI and machine learning, from training data through inference, and a trust layer for AI agents issuing commands to equipment within controlled scopes such as configuration, over-the-air updates and setpoint changes
  • Off-network assets: Zero Trust for data and commands from assets communicating over cellular and satellite networks, beyond the traditional network perimeter
  • OT/IT and cloud convergence: moving OT data securely and verifiably into IT systems and the cloud, with integrity proven at every step, including device provisioning and certificate management at scale
  • Cross-domain data transfer: a software-based alternative to data diodes for controlled data movement between security domains

For clients, the collaboration means Zero Trust for Data and Commands in OT/IoT can now be procured, deployed and supported at global scale through IBM Consulting, from advisory and architecture through implementation and managed delivery, with Tributech engaged as the product and subject-matter authority throughout.

Tributech:

“Every operator we speak to faces the same challenge in a different form: AI and machine learning models built on data they cannot verify, AI agents beginning to issue commands back to equipment, assets out on cellular and satellite networks, OT data moving into IT systems and the cloud, and cross-domain transfers still relying on hardware data diodes. This joint initiative pairs our technology with IBM’s security services expertise, so Zero Trust for Data and Commands becomes something clients can adopt anywhere in the world, not just where we have feet on the ground.”

Keith Christie-Smith, Vice President of Sales, Tributech

IBM:

“As industrial organizations connect operational environments with AI, cloud, and enterprise systems, protecting the integrity of the data and commands that drive critical operations becomes essential. By collaborating with Tributech we can help clients strengthen trust across their interconnected environments, and improve cyber resilience across their most critical assets.” Preston Futrell, Global OT Security Offering Leader, IBM Consulting
