Specialist parcel carrier, Tuffnells, has expanded its international reach with updates to its worldwide parcel delivery service.

The move comes off the back of key customer insights and follows the introduction of a new simplified IT-enabled international tariff, which will see Tuffnells serving over 167 countries around the world on behalf of its 4000 UK customers. The new tariff will also be available for customers using Microsoft’s enterprise resource planning software, Dynamics AX.

Using its regular fleet of drivers and network of UK depots, international shipments will be collected alongside customers’ regular UK consignments before being shipped overseas, with no new account set-up or agreement required.

Updates to the Tuffnells website also mean customers will be able to check quotes for shipments to a range of countries including, Gambia, Finland, Greece and France – quickly and easily. While its MyTuffnells platform will allow customers to track their deliveries in real-time.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Birks, Chief Executive Officer of Tuffnells, said:

“At Tuffnells we’re constantly listening to our customers thoughts on how we can improve the service we provide them, and the introduction of this new international service comes as a result of feedback asking us to handle their deliveries to even more countries.

“The great thing about our new service is that it means all our customers’ parcels, both UK and international, can be picked up by our drivers at the same time, making it even easier for our customers. We are a one-stop shop for all our customers’ delivery needs, taking their deliveries from door-to-door quickly and easily virtually anywhere in the world.”

Through the new service, Tuffnells will be able to deliver items up to a maximum length of 2.7m, maximum girth of 3.3m and maximum weight of 68 kg per item or total of 299kg per consignment.

All shipments travelling to some locations outside of the EU, including Norway, Switzerland, Gibraltar and the Spanish Islands, will also require a commercial invoice for customs clearance.
