Elemica, the leading Digital Supply Network for process manufacturing industries, announces that Gary Neights has been selected as a Top 50 Tech Visionary at the Intercon Conference, where he is speaking on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on Thursday, June 20, 2019, in Las Vegas.

“InterCon brings together the best minds in technology to share best practices and innovative thinking and Gary Neights, Senior Director of Product Management at Elemica, is one of the top thought leaders in next-gen technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and more,” says Rich Katz, President of Elemica. “Congratulations to Gary for this well-earned award. He works hard to understand forward-looking trends so that Elemica can deliver reliable and scalable internet-based technology solutions for clients.”

At Intercon 2019, Gary Neights will be participating in an expert panel discussion titled, “AI and ML In E-commerce: Today And Tomorrow.” He will use Elemica’s PULSE and REALITY CHECK, which provide end-to-end supply chain visibility and monitoring, as a vehicle to present the thinking behind aligning physical and virtual inventories logically. He will also discuss the mechanisms to apply rules-based event management and machine-learning algorithms to enhance end-to-end supply chain management and visibility. Leveraging his expertise in customer service, finance, and risk, Gary will discuss how this supports advanced supply chain risk mitigation strategies that deliver better customer service without excess working capital.

Gary continues to bring innovations to light for Elemica customers and is working on several new products which leverage Elemica’s next-generation platforms. ENRICH is an inter-company data management product that offers clients the ability to save millions of dollars per years by eliminating ERP data quality issues. Gary is also launching a product described by a major client as “brilliant” and another as “solving a problem we have been trying to solve for years” that improves ordering processes for distributors, sales agents, and the long tail of small customers. A “no-configuration needed” analytics package and robotic process automation (RPA) to pull orders from WebEDI portals are also under development.

Last year, one of Gary’s innovations won an SCDE 100 Award for Inventory Replenishment System, and in 2019 Gary was named as a Supply Chain Pro To Know from Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.

In addition to understanding clients and market business requirements, Gary also engages with higher education. He serves on the Management Consulting Advisory Group at Temple University’s Fox Graduate School of Business and recently presented at Lehigh University’s Center for Supply Chain Research on “Digitized Supply Chains = Disruptive Competitive Advantage.” He is widely published including, “When is Cloud Computing the Best Fit,” “Bolstering Your Efforts for Operational Excellence,” and “Predicting Behavior in Chemical Supply Chains,” where he discusses the application of cloud computing to global supply chains.
