Richard Skidmore, Head of Customer Service Delivery at Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, will be sharing how its quest for connectivity and improved customer satisfaction levels resulted in the launch of their unique ‘Truck App Portal’, at the Microlise Transport Conference, taking place on the 18th May at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Richard’s presentation will focus on some of the technology and strategies implemented by organisations, such as Daimler Truck and Bus, to harness vehicle data, combine innovative technologies and break new ground in customer satisfaction.

“We’ll be looking at technology including the Microlise SmartFlow OEM integration that will save money and time for customers and improve driver experience, bp In-Truck Pay, which is a world-first fuelling application, and Continental TPMS OEM integration along with other future-focused technologies”, commented Skidmore.

Richard is Head of Customer Service Delivery at Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK and has over 15 years of automotive experience across passenger car and commercial vehicle brands. During his time at Mercedes-Benz, Richard has been instrumental in the growth of the organisation’s connectivity strategy and played a key role in the launch of the Truck App Portal.

The Microlise Transport Conference has established itself as the industry’s premier conference, offering a thought-provoking and engaging programme of speakers, complimented by four workshop areas, an exhibition featuring innovative industry suppliers and the opportunity to network with an audience of 1,200.

“Future focused innovation and technology is at the heart of what we do, and we are delighted to welcome Richard to the conference,” said Nadeem Raza, CEO at Microlise.

In keeping with the conference theme of technology, innovation and the future of the industry, the event will be hosted this year by technology broadcaster and presenter Spencer Kelly, who fronts the BBC’s flagship technology programme, Click, which attracts viewers from more than 200 countries around the world.

Attracting delegates from both managerial and operational areas across fleet transportation, regardless of fleet size, industry sector or technology usage, the one-day Microlise Transport Conference is free to attend.
