About

14th – 16th June 2022

Multimodal 2022 celebrates fifteen years of putting shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and exporters in front of exhibitors who offer the latest logistics and supply chain solutions.   Multimodal is firmly established as the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe’s premier freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event.

Whether you are a 3PL, BCO, shipping line, logistics provider, haulier, pallet network, port or warehouse owner, Multimodal offers a unique opportunity to make valuable face to face contact with new prospects and existing companies.   Year on year, shippers and cargo owners attend to improve their businesses; by finding ways of moving their products more efficiently and by meeting new suppliers.

Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, and is characterised by key vertical sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, electronics, FMCG, food & drink, fashion, pharmaceuticals, construction, aerospace, energy, real estate, recycling, paper/print and perishables, amongst others, whilst horizontally, the show covers all modes of transportation, including sea, road, rail, air and inland waterways.

This matrix design makes Multimodal incredibly valuable and accessible for shippers – whilst also affording them the opportunity to successfully meet and network with peers from other sectors, which is another key reason for their attendance.

This attendance in June will be bolstered by building on our recent initiatives:

2022 PARTNERS

2022 Partners

To further strengthen the value of Multimodal this year, we have secured a partnership with the Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&T), and also with the Career Colleges Trust (CCT).

IOE&T, as a provider of education and training to professionalise the UK’s international traders, will also run two days of CPD accredited free to attend seminars aimed at their membership of small/medium shippers.  Whilst the CCT collaboration will further enhance our third day focus on the logistics industry future workforce addressing recruitment, apprenticeships, training, education and the skills gaps.   The CCT support students into great careers, and specifically to fill the Skills Gaps that exist in their local areas – the Logistics industry as one of the top growing sectors is a major focus.

We are excited about these new initiatives and we will continue to work closely with the market on more actionables and improvements to ensure that the show retains its position as the UK and Ireland’s leading and foremost transport and logistics event.

DEDICATED BIFA FREIGHT FORWARDERS VILLAGE WITH LOGPODS

2022 will build-on the successful new attraction introduced at Multimodal 2021 – the BIFA Freight Forwarders Village – providing a marketplace for freight forwarders to showcase the products and services they offer in a simple and cost effective way.

The 2021 sessions addressed training, recruitment and the skills gap which are major threats to the success of many companies, with a major focus on apprenticeships, training, re/upskilling, education and recruitment with seminars and initiatives specific to this sector.  Watch out for exciting announcements in this area coming soon for 2022.
