A new mobile safety reporting app has been launched to enable organisations to record incidents, hazards and near misses at the point they occur.

Developed by Wolverhampton-based software company jobmate, jobsafe allows users to submit reports from a smartphone, either online or offline. Each report is automatically timestamped and geo-tagged, with reports synchronised once a network connection becomes available.

The app has been developed to address delays between incidents occurring and reports being completed. It enables incidents, hazards and near misses to be recorded at the time they occur rather than after the event or when personnel return to an office or depot.

Managers receive immediate notification of reported incidents and can access information for investigations, compliance reporting and audit purposes.
