PTV Group to present software solutions for safe, sustainainable, equitable & resilient public transport

PTV Group will be exhibiting at IT-TRANS, the leading international trade fair for intelligent urban transport systems, from May 10 to 12, 2022 in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The world’s market leader for mobility planning software will present its solutions for operation and optimization, data and demand, as well as sustainability and society. A first highlight will already take place on the eve of the trade fair: PTV will be hosting the exclusive pre-event for the opening of IT-TRANS.

 

IT-TRANS pre-event 2022

Together with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and Messe Karlsruhe, PTV Group is inviting participants to start the conference and trade show week at Alte Fleischmarkthalle on May 9 at 6:00 p.m. The exhibition and conference attendees will meet on this informal platform for networking and professional exchange. Dr. Frank Mentrup, Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe, will officially open the event.

Guests will then enjoy a presentation on “Innovative public transport in turbulent times” by Dr. Alexander Pichon, Managing Director of the Karlsruhe Transport Authority (KVV). This will be followed by a presentation on “How PTV is modernizing public transport” using best-practice examples from around the globe. It will be presented by two Vice Presidents of PTV Group – Janine Stuchl and Peter Moehl,

PTV at IT-TRANS 2022

At the IT-Trans exhibition, PTV Group experts will show world-leading tools for improving public transport and mobility, and for adjusting them to today’s needs. The software solutions include data analysis, visualization, modeling, and simulation. Moreover, PTV Group will be focusing on topics such as rural connectivity, reallocation of public spaces, and reduction of polluting emissions from transportation. This includes the optimization of fleets of e-buses, among other topics.

PTV Group will also take part in the joint stand of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion (event hall, EH2) presenting the innovative software-as-a-service product PTV Visum Publisher. With interactive dashboards and 3D maps, the tool enables mobility planners to analyze and visualize big amounts of data, and to understand and evaluate a wide range of scenarios.

 

PTV experts in the conference program

PTV Group is represented in the IT-TRANS conference program with two presentations:

Janine Stuchl, VP Global Marketing & Communications will talk about a use case for improved traffic forecasting based on machine learning technologies as part of the session “Using technology for build future cities” (MU3B, May 11th, 09:30-11.00).

In the session “Autonomous mobility – One city at a time” (MU5A, May 11th, 11:00-12.30), Isaac Vargas Gordillo, Project Manager at PTV, shows how model-based traffic simulations enable virtual testing of in-vehicle data visualization for users of autonomous vehicles.
