Visits to shops have dropped to pre-pandemic levels amidst the cost-of-living crisis, according to the latest Springboard data.

As shoppers feel the pinch, they are increasingly avoiding the high streets.

Our research found people are doing their shopping online. Indeed, over a third of consumers are planning to spend more online than they had previously, specifically to tackle the cost-of-living crisis.

This is down to being able to compare items online more easily and find the lowest prices and best deals. With inflation at a 40-year high, consumers are being savvier about how they spend their hard-earned cash.
