Zenzic, an organisation created to lead the move to a safer, more inclusive and productive mobile future, will outline how the UK can move towards a connected and automated future when Mark Cracknell, Head of Technology, speaks at the upcoming Microlise Transport Conference.
Europe’s largest road transport conference returns on 20 May at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry, and once again will provide delegates with access to a line-up of industry leaders and subject matter experts, covering the key issues of today and looking ahead to the future of connected and self-driving vehicles in the UK.
The UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmapdetails developments from the present day to 2030. It presents a single vision that shows dependencies, focuses on investment and articulates the path to scale capabilities and technologies.
Zenzic enables, coordinates and facilitates, putting the UK at the centre of a transport revolution. The organisation brings together the three main forces of industry, government and academia to create a new, thriving and prosperous economy with a positive impact on society.
In his role as Head of Technology, Mark Cracknell leads the UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030 to establish an industry-wide view of the future. He previously held roles at Transport for London (TfL), supporting the London connected and automated Testbed amongst other Surface Transport roles.
“As the road freight industry’s leading conference, I’m looking forward to engaging with delegates and providing a detailed view of the future in terms of how the UK can transition to a more connected and automated mobility future,” commented Cracknell. “Zenzic was created to bring together government, industry and academia and our work has been wide-ranging and all-encompassing as we map out the UK’s connected future.
“The next decade will see significant changes that will materially impact the transport environment, and I look forward to sharing our findings and the roadmap at this seminal event.”
The Microlise Transport Conference is a free-to-attend, one day conference that has grown over recent years, to become the largest event of its kind in Europe.
